Since our establishment, we set out with an ambitious vision aiming to lead the building and construction sector, inspired by the comprehensive renaissance witnessed by our dear Kingdom in light of Saudi Vision 2030. At Qassim Gypsum Company, we exert our efforts to provide innovative construction products and develop integrated solutions that combine the highest international quality standards and the ability to compete in a rapidly developing market.

Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al-Rashed

A businessman and real estate investor, he uses his experience to support the direction of the Qassim Gypsum Company and enhance its strategic decisions and opportunities for sustainable growth.

Owner and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Rashed Real Estate Investment Group.
Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Qassim Gypsum Company.
He previously chaired the Real Estate Offices Committee of the Chamber of Commerce.
He participated as a member of the King Faisal Specialist Hospital Fund Investment Committee.

Investment and real estate experience

His experience extends to purchasing and developing lands in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and the United Arab Emirates, and he was the first to initiate the implementation of services works in the Western Nakheel scheme.

Academic qualification

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering - King Saud University (1968 AD).

Co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Sika Company (since 1995).
Co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Electrical Panels Company - Al-Nawah and the leading partnership of “Schneider Electric Saudi Arabia” (since 1987 AD).

Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Beta & Partners” Real Estate Development Company in Jeddah (since 1975 AD).

Walid bin Mohammed Al-Bassam

Walid bin Mohammed Al-Bassam has more than 27 years of professional experience in financial management, accounting and governance, and combines academic roots with practical practice in financial management and strategic planning.

Previous leadership experiences

Chief Financial Officer at Saudi Ceramic Company.
Group Financial Director at the National Glass Industries Company “Zajjaj”.

Governance and academic qualification

Through his membership in boards of directors and audit committees, and his participation in academic and advisory bodies, he contributed to strengthening governance and financial control and raising the efficiency of administrative and operational performance.

He holds a PhD in Finance and Governance from the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom.

Thanayan Al-Thanayan

A chemical engineer with over 30 years of experience at Saudi Aramco, including refining operations, fuel distribution, engineering management, and major projects.

Positions and projects

He served as Director of Distribution Operations.
He headed the maintenance of the Riyadh Refinery.
He supervised the distribution of aviation fuel in the western region.
He represented the distribution operations in the Al-Waseea Distribution Station project in cooperation with the Chinese company Sinopec until its successful operation.

Qualification and specialized experience

He holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from King Saud University, and has a proven track record in operational safety, reliability and improving asset efficiency.

CEO

Mohammed bin Khaled Al-Tayyar

Mohammed bin Khaled Al-Tayyar has been the CEO of Qassim Gypsum Company and a member of its Executive Committee since August 2026. He is leading a comprehensive development phase aimed at raising operational efficiency, developing the organizational structure and governance system, and expanding the presence of the company’s products in the Kingdom’s markets.

He has professional experience spanning more than two decades in the financial, banking, real estate, and project management sectors, during which he assumed leadership of a number of prominent institutions and companies, and contributed to formulating their development strategies and raising their operational efficiency. He also has specialized experience in merger and acquisition consulting, investment brokerage, opportunity analysis and deal structuring, in addition to his membership in the boards of directors and executive committees of a number of economic groups and entities, where he led transformation and institutional growth plans.

Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman Al-Dalilan

He has diverse professional experience in the fields of executive management, internal audit, corporate governance, and strategic development. He held a number of leadership positions, most notably Director of Internal Audit, before assuming his current position as Managing Director at Qassim Gypsum Company.

Operations Manager

Ahmed bin Muaibed Al-Harbi

He supervises the operations, production, and management of industrial facilities at the Qassim Gypsum Company.

Operational responsibilities

Leading production lines and following up on indicators of operational efficiency and raw material consumption.
Supervising mechanical and electrical maintenance and developing production lines.

Qualifications and certificates

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Specialized certificates from the Saudi Council of Engineers in manufacturing processes, materials evaluation, and artificial intelligence applications in engineering sectors (AEC).

Factory manager

Dhiraj Hurdi

Specializing in chemical engineering, he has 14 years of experience in the gypsum industry, including 8 years at Qassim Gypsum Company (QGC).

Areas of expertise

Manufacture of gypsum boards, gypsum powder, ceiling tiles and decorative products.
Production management, process improvement and quality control.
Supervising mechanical and electrical maintenance and factory operations.
